Abdelrahman Ahmed

I’m a full-stack developer, student and occasional freelancer based in Sydney, Australia. I work predominantly with JavaScript, Node.js and React. I also dabble with other things, including Python, PHP, C/C++, and Java. I enjoy keeping up with the latest technologies and learning new things everyday ᕕ( ᐛ )ᕗ.

I’m currently working as a web developer at ManageFlitter while pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology at the University of Technology Sydney, majoring in Enterprise Systems Development and sub-majoring in Data Analytics. I have strong interests in deep learning, autonomous driving and differential privacy.

I’ve worked on various open-source projects, and contributed to the several projects, such as FuelPHP framework. Some things I’ve maintained and worked on recently:

  • Brackets and Ladders: an application that allows gamers to setup teams and participate in tournaments
  • Betterplace Egypt: an application that aggregates and visualises data about crowd-funded projects in Egypt, powered by the betterplace.org API
  • Stationwagon: one of the first FuelPHP applications, as a guideline for beginners
  • hunter2: a CLI-based password manager developed in Ruby

Feel free to follow me on Twitter or contact me at if you have any questions. I’m also frequently on IRC/Freenode as abdel in #webdev or #DN.
